Civil Litigation Trail Attorney Katie Martin

Katie Martin's practice focuses on all aspects of civil litigation, primarily personal injury, medical malpractice, complex business disputes, and insurance bad faith.

Katie began her legal career with HHP as a law clerk in 2020 after her first year of law school. During this time, Katie witnessed firsthand HHP's exceptional standards and commitment to delivering outstanding results for their clients.

A native of Maryland for 18 years, Katie decided to move south for college and never looked back. Katie pursued her undergraduate studies at Mercer University, in Macon, Georgia. During her time at Mercer, she was a member and captain of the women's lacrosse team and made multiple NCAA tournament appearances. Following completion of her undergraduate degree, Katie attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she served as an article's editor for the ABA Real Property, Trust, and Estate law journal. In her final year of law school, Katie participated in the Veteran's Legal Clinic. As a student attorney, she assisted veterans with appeals before the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. Upon graduation, Katie was employed by a prominent defense firm before returning to HHP in 2024.

When she is not in the office, Katie enjoys exploring the great outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. You can also find Katie cheering on the Gamecocks or Mercer Bears, and spending time with her miniature dachshund, Lenny.
