Get to Know Civil Lawsuit Attorney Bill Padget


Bill Padget handles complex civil litigation prosecuting, defending, and resolving lawsuits. He has successfully tried numerous jury trials to verdict and has obtained multimillion-dollar jury verdicts and settlements for his clients. With a track record of jury verdicts against major corporate defendants, he also has effectively argued cases before the South Carolina Court of Appeals and the South Carolina Supreme Court.

Bill grew up in the Midlands, graduated from Gilbert High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts from The Citadel in 2001. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2004. Bill was awarded membership in the Order of the Wig and Robe, and served as Associate Editor-in-Chief of the South Carolina Law Review. While in law school, he was named to the Dean's List and received CALI (American Jurisprudence) Awards in: Constitutional Law and Criminal Procedure. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2004, and admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in South Carolina.

When not practicing law, he enjoys the outdoors, golfing, and spending time with his wife, Jessie, and three children, Kate, Alex, and Claire.
